In 2004, Tiandiren established the "Lawyer Assistance Centre for Optimising Socio-economic Development in Hunan Province", and has also set up a number of legal aid platforms such as the "Legal Service Centre for Taiwanese Businessmen in Hunan Province", "Legal Service Centre for Overseas Chinese in Hunan Province" and "Changsha Qixin Care and Support Association". So far, Tiandiren has provided free legal consultation services for nearly 40,000 clients, handled more than 1,000 complaint cases, issued more than 700 legal opinions, submitted 200 issues of "Reflections" to the provincial government, provided legal services to governments at all levels more than 600 times, recovered economic losses of more than 500 million yuan for complainants, directly or indirectly promoted more than 40 billion yuan of investment. Tiandiren has successfully resolved various social conflicts, quelled a number of vicious petitions and nipped conflicts in the rudimentary stage.
Since 2011, Tiandiren has also been providing an "online legal advice" service for the provincial government portals, solving legal problems for the public online and, together with the Information Centre of the People' s Government of Hunan Province, compiling and publishing legal advice to FAQ, so as to promote legal awareness for the public to resort to the law to protect their rights and interests.
